Had a FANTASTIC and very relaxing weekend in cabin 17C! Great location, so close to the south gate entrance of Yosemite. Our cabin was cozy. It was cold outside, but the heater worked well. The king-size bed was VERY comfortable, it was like a memory foam mattress. We really appreciated the back patio with table and chairs. Best part of the weekend was the nearby hike (very short, less than a mile hike) to the Swinging Bridge. We literally had the place to ourselves, so nice! We will be back to stay at Redwoods in Yosemite again.

We stayed in the Black Oak Lodge and were very disappointed. The cabin was quite dirty. The wood floor was heavily stained in multiple areas along with stains on the front of the wood cabinets. (The wood floors in front of sink looked moldy.) The white baseboards were FILTHY, which led me to believe the brown ones were as well. The closet in the main bathroom was not usable because inside there was a roll-a-bed and a dirty used shower curtain on the floor leaving no room for hanging clothes unless you wanted them touching the bed. When we arrived some of the lights and the hot water didn’t work and we couldn’t find breaker box anywhere. (We finally found the breaker box outside the next morning). The coat rack at the front door was broken. The heater in bedroom had front of unit fallen off on the floor. I did not dare walk on any of the floors without shoes on. The whole place gave us a feeling of “ICK”. I wasn’t even comfortable sitting on sofa. We had booked 5 nights and left after three because it was so uncomfortable being there even though we had already paid. When we were checking out Sharon took down all my concerns and said she would call me back later that day about our concerns and possibility of a refund. While I didn’t have high hopes for any refund I did believe she would at least call me back since she said she would and she did verify that she had my correct number. 12 days later I still haven’t heard from her. I also asked both people working in office if they had been in the cabin lately to see the condition and they both said they had not. We picked Redwoods because of location but we wish we had stayed outside of the park instead and driven in each day. We dreaded having to go back to this cabin at the end of the day. A nice location and easy to find. We would echo other reviews in that we felt it could be cleaner. The sanitaryware was badly stained from the water which made it look old. We weren't sure if the water was okay to drink but had no issues. The heating was modern and effective, with plenty of hot water. We did not need cooling but noticed that there were only fans, no A/C. The kitchen was functional and well equipped. If you can, take your provisions with you as shopping in the park is limited and expensive.|The outside space was a disappointment with broken furniture etc on the deck. The table, chairs and recliners all needed cleaning before we could use them. |There is free washing and drying facilities in the reception building but getting a slot was very competitive. We got there just before the office opened only to find that all the machines were in use by either staff or locals. A good facility if you can get to use it.|The area was nice, with easy access to local hikes and sights which can easily keep you out all day. |We found the Redwoods staff friendly and helpful and would stay again. We would take particular care as to which cabin we booked. Some are in better condition and in a better location than others. We stayed in No 4, Pine Creek Cabin which was fine but could do with a bit of a refresh.

It is so incredible to be able to stay right in Yosemite! We had the best time in the Spring Meadow Retreat. It was so comfortable and had everything we needed. And it's minutes away from the beautiful Mariposa Grove! We will be visiting again 🙂

I stayed at the Redwoods in Yosemite cabin with my wife and another couple for a few nights in late September. The cabin truly has everything you need. The kitchen has it all and the grill was ready to go. We made a few amazing meals and relaxed after some long days hiking. There’s a library of books and board games. The living room and fireplace were wonderful. It really did feel homey and cozy.

It is conveniently located and just down the block from a nice little market. The beds were comfortable and it was very clean. Wifi worked great if you need to get some work done. Definitely would recommend for a larger group.

We stayed in Cabin 45 (The Overlook) and it had everything we could’ve wanted and more! Excellent location- we were a 3 minute walk to the river. The cabin was newly renovated so the kitchen had top of the line appliances, big kitchen table, bar seating, and even a wine fridge :). The property has a giant wrap around deck where we hung out most of the time, ate our meals, and got to enjoy the beautiful views. I highly recommend The Overlook if you want the most perfect stay! We will definitely be back.

This is the best place to stay when visiting Yosemite National Park.

We stayed in a cozy cabin with The Redwoods in Yosemite, and it was the perfect base for our adventure. We woke up surrounded by nature, and it was close to all of our hiking spots—like the giant sequoia forests in Wawona and just a short drive to Glacier Point. After long days of exploring, we came back to cook, play games, and make memories in our warm, cozy cabin.

And the best part is, you’re staying INSIDE the park, so you skip the hassle of having to get park reservations. This way, you can get straight to exploring Yosemite’s hidden gems. You’ll have access to secluded trails, stunning waterfalls, and even a historic library and golf course— all within walking distance. It’s quiet, peaceful, and feels like your own secret spot in Yosemite.

So if you’re planning a trip, trust me, The Redwoods in Yosemite is where you want to stay.

Redwoods Yosemite provided a totally magical experience for us. Our cabin was so gorgeous and perfectly clean. The staff was so helpful. Looking forward to making this an annual trip!
