My Husband and I needed some "tools" for some current changes in our lives. I Googled a list of Marriage and Family Therapist and found Dr. Robbins. My concern was finding a person that would make my Husband comfortable talking to. We easily connected with Dr. Robbins on our first visit. The session was better than I expected. We leave every session feeling better and have been giving more tools to deal with our current lives. He is a faith-based PHD Therapist. Dr. Robbins is professional, relatable, and it is a pleasure to visit. After a few visits, we had made good progress, again, far better than I imagined. His office staff is professional and efficient. We continue to improve after each visit. We have a long term marriage and have needed some help to cope with some of life experiences along the way. I highly recommend Dr. Robbins.

It took me a while to write this review because no words could be written about how much Dr. Robbins and his staff mean to me. I was referred to him by a dear friend of mine, but at the time I didn’t think I could afford his services. I went through a few other counselors because they were slightly cheaper before giving Dr. Robbins a try and to this day, I will never go anywhere else.

I came in as a desperate wife of 8 years who had completely fallen apart and could barely keep my life together. I had mentally and physically been broken and didn’t know what to do. I was willing to do anything to save my marriage whether or not my husband agreed to join me. I needed to be able to tell my children, mommy did everything she could.

I was seeking a Christian male counselor who could lead me biblically, but also be a safe space for my husband (who is not a follower of Christ) and Dr. Robbins was that for me. He didn’t push his values on me but I knew they were there and that we could chat openly about God.

I started seeing Dr. Robbins by myself and then my husband did end up joining me eventually in the sessions. Dr. Robbins said he was willing to take the challenge after meeting my husband for the first time because even with all his life experience and education, he knew my husband would be a tough one to crack. He didn’t give up on me or my marriage and that was encouraging. I never felt more alone in life, but to have Dr. Robbins on my side, gave me hope.

Writing this review stirs up a lot of emotion and tears of gratitude of how far my family and I have come due to my faith in Christ and with the help of Dr. Robbins. We are still married and we use the tools that we were given on a constant basis.

Dr. Robbins helped guide me in how to set up boundaries and he really brought out the strong woman who was inside of me who was just broken down. He did not choose my side and he did not choose my husbands, but he chose our marriage. His guidance was not biased and he offered great wise counsel. My husband challenged him quite a bit, and Dr. Robbins showed my husband that he listened to him just as much as he listened to me.

For those of you reading this, I couldn’t recommend Dr. Robbins and his team anymore. Even the women at the front desk were so supportive when I had my numerous breakdowns in the office. They have compassion and truly care. They are worth every penny and more and I highly recommend whatever anyone is going through Dr. Robbins and his team can help guide, rebuild and pray for the situation!!!

My husband and I have known Dr. Peter Robbins for about 36 years. It started out that he had a program called Step Parenting classes. What a blessing those classes were. At that time our 2 children were about 4 and 5 years of age. We learned so much and you could utilize all the skills Dr. Peter taught us not just with rearing our children BUT in ever aspect of our lives. My husband used it on the job with whom ever he met and in actions dealing with people in general. What a blessing Dr. Peter has been to us and most of all throughout our lives.
He has been an EXCELLENT mentor, counselor and super fantastic friend to us. Always there for us no matter what. Now my husband is sick with an awful disease of Lewy Body Dementia. Dr. Peter has been there with me throughout this whole ordeal with me right by my side to pray, encourage and counsel with me. He has been my ROCK through it all so far. I love and truly APPRECIATE this man so so much. He is such an Amazing person. We have been so BLESSED to have him in our corner knowing how much he has helped us and I thank God for the pleasure we've had to know him.

Where should I start? My wife and I have been seeing Dr. Robbins for counseling for quite some time now. We talk about anything and everything from extended family, to children and of course most importantly our marriage relationship. He cares, he listens and he has excellent practical guidance. Quite literally guidance on handouts for us to practice at home. The guidance is filled with wisdom from years of counseling after having seen and heard it all. It was quite comforting to know that we were not alone in our struggles. Most importantly, with his guidance we have overcome many challenges, established healthy communication practices and continue to learn ways to improve our relationship. For those who are particularly looking for a faith-based counselor like we were, look no further. Even if you are not, look no further. As one who works in the medical field, too often we find medical advice to be very vague, one-sided and sometimes difficult to act on and put into practice. Dr. Robbins makes it very easy to understand and creates an actionable plan customized to your needs. I really appreciate that and the proof is in the results. It works, it really works!
