I was apprehensive and scared to send my daughter here after reading all the negative reviews. She was just released after 40 days at the facility. The reason for the 4 stars is for therapist Jen. We felt she understood us and was attentive. Just like anywhere else, some therapist have more experience than others. Sometimes there's miscommunication within admissions and treatment team. I felt disregarded at times, but like I said, that's everywhere. In my daughters case there was not much change in behavior. That's why it's not 5 stars.

This place left me with more trauma than what I came in with, please do not send your kids here. The therapists are quite manipulative, and manipulate your parents. I can’t share the exact details of what went down there, due to HIPPA. Please I’m begging you, do not send your kids here.

This was my 2nd residential and the beat one by far. It was clear that staff actually cared and my therapist was awesome. The only thing i didnt like about this place was the huge age differences. The place is 11-17 I believe and while i was there that made it very hard to have a normal environment. It caused a lot of peer issues but the program itself is great. My therapist was Greg and he made me feel 1000x better in my 6 week stay. The staff are so kind and they really show how much they care. I never had a bad experience with any of the adults there and that was really important for my recovery. Im really going to miss everyone i met, such as my therapist and staff, so much and im honestly super glad my parent’s sent me here.

I went to this residential in 2019, the only person i really connected with there was Danny. Probably the only reason i enjoyed waking up in the morning since he would play baby shark. Overall this place wasn't the best but i also wasnt in the right space or accepting treatment.
Not sure how it is nowadays but they had some pretty crazy rules, and the therapists i felt manipulated my mom into thinking everytime i research my symptoms i just choose the worst diagnosis to go with. Was told I had Reactive attachment disorder but I have Borderline personality that has been diagnosed now for 3 years.
They also told me I was going home the day of my discharge with no time to kind of prepare for going back home.

I don’t know if we’re allowed to drop names, so I won’t. My therapist was amazing! He was calm and patient. I felt very comfortable speaking to him. He pushed me out of my comfort zone to become a better version of myself. He gave me a “rebel day” because I was too complacent or something? I was encouraged to break the rules and speak for myself. He was the best therapist I’ve ever had, hands down. I was always very excited for my therapy sessions. I hope he still has the green bracelet I gave him before leaving.

The staff were kinda a mixed bag. Some of them were amazing. They’d listen to me talk, comfort me, and were very calming. They were very friendly and fun. Sometime around Halloween, we had a mask making contest. I made a mask of my favorite staff member as a joke, wearing a mask and a button up polo shirt and won. One of my favorite moments there. They let me hang it on the community fridge and they kept it there after I left. They were kind enough to take a photo of it that I could bring home.

Some staff… pretty cold. They weren’t very friendly, but luckily there weren’t too many of them.

Speaking of cold, it got so cold there at night. They had some rule about not being allowed to wear jackets unless you met certain conditions, and thank god they eventually let everyone wear them. Also, the night staff were kinda loud and it was hard to sleep. I know it’s boring to watch over us but you guys get to go home and rest in your own beds. We’re stuck here, and this is the only rest we’re going to get.

The food was really good. The staff cooking were super flexible and we were allowed to request certain foods. Not like a whole meal, but small things like almond butter. I was vegan at the time and was glad I was able to eat that way while there.

I was a client at Center for Discover in the spring of 2019 for a month and a half. I was always treated with kindness and respect by my therapist and all of the wonderful counselors. I was a part of the smaller girls only group rather than the larger co-ed group and often times wished I was apart of the other group, but it really didn’t affect my treatment. I would definitely recommend the facility 🙂

the staff were extremely rude, my therapist was very nice though. Staff would be on their phones during check ins and we found bed bugs in our sheets and they forced us to sleep in the beds or get a week of house freeze (the worst punishment other than being kicked out) would not recommend if you want your child to be treated fairly. i went and now have a serious stalker situation.

Sending my daughter here was a horrible decision that I regret badly. We had limited ability to research the facility due to Covid. We could not go inside. The website makes it seem way better then it is. The location is not nice at all, very industrial. I was standing in the parking lot and a disheveled person walked by on the side wake and motioned to me then flashed the palm of his hand to reveal small white packages? The staff is rude and come across as very uncaring and burnt out. They are probably not treated fair by their employer and don’t want to be there. The kids seem like a burden to them and that they just want to put in their hours and get out of there. My daughter absolutely hated it and began to experience an anxiety attack. She asked her nurse for her medication that is prescribed just for these types of elevated episodes, and the nurse told her to wait for the shift change in 15 minutes, that she was almost off. There is nothing healing about this place do not go there.
