Beginning Pistol and Shotgun was great! My 2 kids and I took the class today. It was my kids’ first time shooting a firearm and it’s been years since I’ve been to the range. It was a perfect balance of instruction and hands on shooting. Instructors were very safety conscious and were hands on and stood next to you the whole time providing guidance and were very supportive. They made us comfortable and confident. They focused on proper handling and form. It makes a difference!!! ?

They provided all of the pistols and ammunition. Some people brought their pistols and they were able to use them. The instructors were nice enough to clean and lubricate their pistols.

Cool thing was we were able to shoot various makes and calibers so we can figure out what works best for us.

Darren is extremely responsive via email. He was able to fit my daughter into this session at the last minute.

I’m hooked and looking for the next opportunity to take another class. My kids were also very happy and appreciated all of the instructors.

I had not shot a handgun except once or twice in my life with my family. It had been over 20 years. Due to observations in society I decided I needed to be armed in this current era. I take this as a serious responsibility and I wanted proper training on handling, and situational awareness and safety, and all of it.

I contacted Darren and because of my work schedule I elected to go with private lessons. I had two private lessons, and while I am no expert at this point, I have gone from not knowing anything, and not feeling comfortable at all with a handgun, to at least a basic level of competence in that time, and feel even after just two lessons in the event of an emergency I would be capable of responding to the situation. I have a long ways to go as far as range time, and constant practice of what each situation might call for. Firearm ownership is a responsibility of every capable citizen in order to prevent victimization of themselves and those around them and for the ultimate purpose of the 2A which I will not get into here.

If you intend on becoming a gun-owner and like me you take this responsibility very seriously, you are going to need training. Darren was a fantastic instructor and though I have moved out of the area I highly recommend him, and based on his teaching alone, the rest of his licensed instructors. High competency and high level of expertise. Don't be unprepared. Get trained. 5 Arrows will help with that.

Took the Level 1 Carbine class this past Saturday (9/17). Awesome class! Darren gave simple instruction for things that are not so simple. Instruction included pivot drills, shooting on the move and a mind dizzying team tactics drill. All were pretty damn fun! Safety 1st of course, but beyond that Darren promotes a relaxed atmosphere where mistakes are seen as learning opportunities, with the phrase “That’s how you learn” stated many times after a correction. And yes.. I “learned“ quite a bit! #joker

Level 1 Defensive Pistol course is a great class. All instructors provide an excellent environment to learm and build skills. Every piece broken down to the core essentials to build a foundation from. Instructor engagement is phenomenal and inclusive for all backgrounds of class participants.

Great guys, fun to train with. If you'very never shot before, the beginners class is great. They provide everything you need in a safe environment. I highly recommend their training.
